ZEGARRA RODRIGUEZ DEMOSTENES

Demóstenes Zegarra Rodríguez es graduado en Ingeniería Electrónica por la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2000), obtuvo los grados de Magister (2009) e Doctor (2013) en Ingeniería Eléctrica en la Escuela Politécnica de la Universidad de São Paulo, Brasil. Experiencia profesional en empresas internacionales de grande porte como ingeniero e investigador, en las áreas de Telecomunicaciones (empresas: INICITEL, Telefónica, Nokia) y de Ciencias de la Computación (empresas: Celltick Technology y Microsoft). Las áreas de investigación de interés son: telecomunicaciones, calidad de servicio y calidad de experiencia en servicios multimedia, procesamiento de señales, redes sociales. Es autor de artículos publicados en congresos y periódicos internacionales.

Proyectos de investigación Avaliação do serviço das operadoras de comunicações utilizando o índice de qualidade de voz Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal avaliar o serviço das operadoras de comunicações de voz, com foco nas operadoras celulares, utilizando um índice de qualidade de voz, com o intuito de melhorar a qualidade de experiência do usuário. Proyectos de investigación Análise condicional para codificação e reconhecimento de sinais de áudio e voz Este plano de pesquisa compõe-se de temas recorrentes em várias áreas de processamento de sinais como análise de voz, codificação de voz e de áudio, reconhecimento da fala e de outras características de sinais de voz e de áudio e separação de sinais com regularizações para permitir ajustes mais adequados à finalidade desejada. A análise de voz, além de seu interesse específico, propicia as representações do sinal e os parâmetros dos modelos necessários às outras áreas.
