Médico Infectoloogo dedicado a la docencia e investigación. Hice mis entrenamiento en Infectologia y Medicina Tropical en la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia seguida de un entrenamiento en Investigación Clinica en el International Centre for Diarrheal Diseases en Bangladesh. Trabajo como docente de Medicina en la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia donde actualmente soy profesor Asociado y Jefe del Departamento de Clinica Medica de la Facultad de Medicina. En investigación he trabajado en Colera, Shigellosis; infecciones nosocomiales, VIH-SIDA, infecciones de piel y partes blandas, infecciones en viajeros, resistencia antimicrobiana, bacteremia por S. aureus y mas recientemente en tuberculosis, donde me desempeño como Director de la Unidad de Investigación en Tuberculosis del Instituto de Medicina Tropical Alexander von Humboldt. Soy miembro de dos Data Safety Monitoring Boards del National Institutes for Health de los Estados Unidos donde reviso estudios en VIH. He sido tutor de tesis de bachillerato en varios temas.
